American and European nautical toys from 19th. and 20th. centuries.
This book contains over 200 pages representing 120 manufacturers. There are more than 450 full color photographs of over 1000 toy ships along with full descriptions and historical commentary. The collection was amassed over a period of 30 years. The intent is to give some insight into how these toys reflect the time in which they were made. It also serves as an invaluable reference book, including as it does estimated values, an extensive bibliography and a list of related maritime reading material.
